Shahid Kapoor will soon start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming flick ‘Padmavati’. The actor plays the character of Raja Ratan Singh in the film. An excited Shahid says, “I am yet to join the shoot of ‘Padmavati’. I will begin shooting in two weeks from now. It is an honor to work with Mr Bhansali. I love his films, he is a fantastic filmmaker.” Shahid will play the Rajput husband of Rani Padmavati, played by Deepika Padukone. His character will go to war against Alauddin Khilji, another historical character being portrayed by Ranveer Singh.
