In a bid to avoid a box office clash, the makers of the Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ have announced a shift in the release date. The sports drama has been postponed by a week to avoid going up against the South Indian biggie ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, this film will now release on April 22nd instead of April 14th. While the makers have not given any clear reason for the delay, this move does imply that the team wants a clear window at the box office. ‘Jersey’ is an official remake of a Telugu hit by the same name. Last seen in the blockbuster ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the role of a retired cricketer. ‘Jersey’ also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles.
