Shahid Kapoor turns a year older today and the actor will celebrate his birthday during the shoot of his next film, ‘Jersey’. The actor is stationed in Chandigarh and that’s where he will celebrate his big day. “The film is very close to my heart and I feel happy and gratified to be working on my birthday, especially on the sets of Jersey,” Shahid said in a statement. The actor essays the role of a cricketer in the film which is a remake of the Telugu sports drama by the same name. ‘Jersey’ is directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri, who had helmed the original flick as well. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 28.
