Shilpa Shetty who is widely admired for her dazzling annual Ganesh Chaturthi festivities has chosen to step away from tradition this year. The decision comes in light of a personal loss within her family. Taking to Instagram, she shared a heartfelt message: “Dear friends, with deep grief we regret to inform you, due to a bereavement in the family, this year we will not be holding our Ganpati celebrations. As per tradition, we will be observing a mourning period of 13 days and will therefore refrain from any religious festivities. We seek your understanding and prayers. With gratitude, the Kundra family.” For years, Shilpa’s home has been a beacon of devotion and celebration, where Bappa was welcomed with spirited rituals, joyful dancing and soulful prayers. Her social media has often offered fans a glimpse into these cherished moments which makes the absence of this year’s celebration deeply felt by many.
