Music composer Shravan Rathod, famously known as one half of the pair Nadeem-Shravan, passed away yesterday at the age of 66. It being reported that he developed Covid-19-related complications after being infected with the virus. He had returned from the auspicious Kumbh Mela which saw lakhs of devotees taking a dip into holy rivers. That’s where Shravan is said to have contracted the deadly virus and had to be hospitalised. Nadeem-Shravan were a rage during the ‘90s, with many of their film soundtracks hitting the top spot on various charts and staying there for weeks on end. Songs from films like ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Saajan’, ‘Sadak’, ‘Deewana’ and ‘Raja Hindustani’ are still afresh in the minds of people. Nadeem-Shravan parted ways in 2005, when partner Nadeem fled to London and received asylum in connection with the death of music mogul Gulshan Kumar.
