Varun Dhawan-starrer emotional release, ‘October’, opened to mixed reviews and a slow start on Friday, collecting Rs 5.04 crore at the box office. However, the film recorded an upward trend through the weekend, with a growth of 48 percent on Saturday, collecting Rs 7.47 crore and another Rs 7.74 crore on Sunday. The film was well received in multiplexes across Metro cities. ‘October’ has released on 1,683 screens across India and is made on a budget of approximately RS 35 crore. The movie has already recovered a good amount, with Amazon taking over the satellite and digital rights.
