Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is up in arms against director Ali Abbas Zafar over the ‘Mr India’ remake. Ali recently announced that he was working on the script of the film. Not the one to take this lying down, Sonam says, “A lot of people have been asking me about the ‘Mr India’ remake. Honestly, my father didn’t even know the film was being remade. We found out about it through social media when Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted. It’s quite disrespectful and underhanded if it is true, since no one bothered to consult my father or Shekhar uncle, two people who played a major role in making the film what it was and is.” For the current generation, Anil Kapoor played the lead in ‘Mr India’ and Shekhar Kapoor directed the iconic 1987 film.
