Amitabh Bachchan, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani starrer ‘Uunchai’ scaled new peaks whenever news about the project was made public. The film is produced by Rajshri Productions and is directed by none other than Sooraj Barjatya. Sooraj and Salman Khan’s association is well known as the duo have given many hits over the last several decades, be it ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ to ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. Ironically, Salman has acted as Prem in most of their films. So when Barjatya was asked about this association, he said, “I’ve dropped all inhibitions in this film. There was a time when if your main character was called Prem, the film would become a hit. But this time around, I’ve dropped it all. When I told Salman that I am making this film, he said, ‘Why are you going to hills to make this?’ He also said later, ‘I can do this film.’ But I said no because I wanted a different cast.” So from casting only Salman to naming only him as Prem, Sooraj says that he’s come a long way in making ‘Uunchai’.
