Taapsee Pannu will step into the shoes of Indian Women’s One Day International (ODI) cricket team captain – Mithali Raj, for her biopic titled ‘Shabaash Mithu’. The film was announced with Rahul Dholakia as the director. However, the makers have announced that Srijit Mukherji will now call the shots for this sports drama. In a statement, Dholakia shared, “There are some films which you know you have to do. ‘Shabaash Mithu’ was that film. Covid messed up everyone’s schedules, mine was no different. Unfortunately, I won’t be directing the fabulous script written by Priya Aven and conceived by Ajit Andhare on the life of the legendary cricketer Mithali Raj.” Taapsee has been training hard for ‘Shabaash Mithu’, which will chronicle the high and low moment of Mithali’s euphoric life.
