With a sudden rise in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai, several Bollywood celebrities are also testing positive for the virus. A couple of weeks ago, Akshay Kumar had to cancel his appearance at the Cannes Film Festival India Pavilion because he had tested positive for the virus. Riding high on the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, Kartik Aaryan announced that he was also tested positive. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan announced that he has also tested positive for Covid-19. Wishing him a speedy recovery, West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee, who is known to be a close friend had tweeted, “Just came to know that our Brand Ambassador Shah Rukh Khan has been detected Covid positive. Pray fastest recovery for the superstar. Get well, Shah Rukh! Spring back as soon as possible!” It is also reported that Katrina Kaif had to skip her appearance at IIFA this past weekend since she too had caught the virus.
