How many of you know that one of the most romantic heroes of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, was offered the host’s role in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’? Since it’s Valentine’s Day, we share some interesting trivia about everyone’s ‘dil ki dhadkan’ Shah Rukh Khan. Director Danny Boyle offered King Khan the role of the host, which eventually was played by Anil Kapoor. Shah Rukh said that he was already playing the host in the TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (‘KBC’) back then. In ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, the character is portrayed in a tad negative shade. Shah Rukh Khan said, “I was cheating and being dishonest as the host (in the film). It’s very strange that I’m being a host (on ‘KBC’) and I’m cheating in the film. So I explained to Mr Boyle that I wouldn’t like to do it, please. There are way better actors than me. Mr Anil Kapoor did it and he was fantastic.” SRK was speaking at the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai. As for the film, it went on to receive multiple Oscar awards that year.
