Suniel Shetty may not always be the first name that comes to mind when talking about Bollywood’s most disciplined stars, but his consistency rivals that of Akshay Kumar. Known for his early-to-bed, early-to-rise routine, the veteran actor opened up about his lifestyle while promoting his upcoming film, ‘Kesari Veer’, on ‘The Lallantop’s’ segment ‘Guest In The Newsroom’. “I go to bed by 10 or 10:30 pm. You’ll never find me awake after that,” he shared, punctuating his statement with a laugh. Ajay Devgn has even coined a playful nickname for him and Akshay, dubbing them “the two milkmen of the film industry” for their habit of rising with the sun.
Beyond his sleep schedule, Suniel also reflected on how his approach to fitness has evolved with age and personal milestones. At 62, his workouts have shifted focus since becoming a grandfather. “I’ve changed my training method for my granddaughter. Earlier, I used to do heavy weight training. Now I focus on mobility,” he said. The newest addition to his family, baby Evaarah, was named with deep thought by her parents, cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty. The name derived from Sanskrit means Gift of God – a fitting sentiment for their daughter, born on March 24th this year.
