Malayalam director M Padmakumar is marking his first foray into Hindi cinema with the crime thriller ‘Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak’, which is slated for a theatrical release on November 20. The recently released motion poster introduces a starkly different Sunny Deol, presenting him in a gritty, hardened persona. With a worn expression, a cigarette and a piercing stare, the imagery suggests a narrative steeped in darkness and redemption. This mood is further underscored by the film’s tagline, “Torn between his past and present, he uncovers the truth”, suggesting a protagonist trapped by old ghosts. Deol reportedly portrays a former police officer who is sucked back into a dangerous web of criminal activity and forgotten secrets. The movie aims to delve deeply into the psychological toll of moral conflict and the inevitable consequences of confronting one’s history.
