Tannishtha Chatterjee made an appearance on ‘Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’ on Colors channel along with her ‘Parched’ co-star Radhika Apte and director Leena Yadav. The actress was informed that the show’s concept was that of a roast. However, by the end of the second segment, Tannishtha walked out. “I soon realized that the only quality they found worth roasting about in me was my skin tone. I could not believe I was sitting in a nationally televised comedy show in 2016 in Mumbai amid such regressive (I can’t call it humor), and blatantly racist content. Though I was feeling suffocated, I decided to give it another chance, and sat through another equally offensive segment,” wrote Tannishtha in an open letter on her Facebook account. The actress was asked if she was a fan of blackberries and how many blackberries did she eat as a kid. The channel finally apologized to the actress with another letter.
