The year 2016 is going to be a year of sex comedies with films like ‘Mastizaade’ and ‘Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3’ releasing. Known as a serious filmmaker, Mahesh Manjrekar says that such films have a certain target audience, “To each his own. Such films are making Rs 100 crore. The fact that the film does Rs 100 crore business means that there is an audience for it. One cannot challenge the audiences. I will not make this kind of a film but those who do, let them. As long as the audiences don’t decrease, such movies will continue to be made. One cannot blame the makers, there is an audience for it.”
