Vidya Balan has stepped into the intense character of a brothel owner with ‘Begum Jaan’. The actress fiercely mouths expletives in the trailer. “The kind of premise that my character comes from, most ladies there use abusive language very easily. You can’t be Begum Jaan and not abuse,” says Vidya. The actress goes on to add that the character of Begum Jaan made her understand the pain of flesh trade. “As a woman and a student of sociology, I was aware about these things academically. But I experienced it when I did ‘Begum Jaan’. Trading the body for survival is never easy even if you have done it 2000 times!” adds Vidya.
