A strong character artiste, Javed Khan Amrohi passed away yesterday due to breathing difficulties and lung problems. Reportedly, he was admitted at Surya Nursing Home in the Mumbai suburbs and was suffering from breathing issues for a year. Having worked in films like ‘Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ and ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ with Aamir Khan, the actor’s production house Aamir Khan Productions paid tribute by sharing a black and white picture of the actor, and wrote, “Javedji, You never failed to fill the room with joy and warmth. Your pure heart and positive energy will be dearly missed,” with a folded hand emoji. Javed Khan Amrohi has played strong characters in ‘Sadak 2’, ‘Chak De! India’, ‘Woh 7 Din’ and even in TV serials like ‘Nukkad’ and ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi’. He will always be remembered for his contribution to the arts.
