Rajiv Kapoor passed away today at the age of 58 at his Mumbai home. He was brought to a hospital nearby his house and is said to have passed away due to cardiac arrest. Neetu Singh, Rajiv’s brother Rishi Kapoor’s wife, shared a picture of the latter and could only write, “RIP,” with folded hands on her Instagram account. Rajiv’s niece Kareena Kapoor posted a black and white picture and said, “Broken but strong.” While Dia Mirza and Soni Razdan felt “so sorry” to hear his untimely demise, Tusshar Kapoor felt, “Sad to hear of the passing away of Rajiv Kapoor! Deepest condolences to the family! May his soul rest in peace.” Lata Mangeshkar on the other hand said, “I just got to know that Raj Kapoor’s younger son and a talented actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away today. I was really saddened to hear about his death. May God bless his soul.” The last rites of Rajiv is scheduled to take place at 7 pm today.
