Vaani Kapoor may be chilling at a 5-star resort in the hill station of Lonavala near Mumbai, but that’s just before she plunges neck-deep into the many films that she is doing. The actress has as many as three back-to-back releases lined up in 2021. Vaani has ‘Shamshera’, ‘Bellbottom’ and ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’, all of which were on the floors simultaneously. Talking about the many films, past and present, Vaani says, “I have always wanted to do films that celebrate women as a symbol of independence and do films that bridge the gender perception about what a woman can or can’t do. Luckily, today, we are part of a generation that’s extremely forward-thinking and they want to see films where a woman is not treated as a flower vase.” While ‘Shamshera’ is with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, ‘Bellbottom’ is with Akshay Kumar. ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ will see Vaani working with Ayushmann Khurrana.
