Shahid Kapoor’s next, a collaboration with ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ director Shree Narayan Singh, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ may feature Vaani Kapoor in the lead. Speculations were rife that Ileana D’Cruz may sign up for the film but industry reports suggest that it is indeed Vaani who has bagged the deal. ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is a social drama, as the title suggests, which touches upon the subject of electricity. Shahid’s much talked about film ‘Padmavati’ is still to see the light of the day, but the actor has moved on to other projects.
