On the one hand, while Vijay Deverakonda’s fans are waiting to see him in the film, the actor himself revealed that it was his mother who was praying for the star to be safe during the shoot. Those who saw the ‘Liger’ trailer would know that America’s former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson has a role in the film. Talking about it, Vijay says, “She performed many pujas and put ‘vibhuti’ (sacred ash) and ‘kumkum’ (turmeric powder) on me before I left for the USA. ‘It’s Mike Tyson! Be careful’, she said and called me up millions of times after I reached there. Once they started shooting, I sent her videos of how we were chilling together and laughing as if we were childhood friends.” Slated to release on August 25th, ‘Liger’ will be out in multiple languages.
