On December 2nd, Vikrant Massey experienced an unforgettable day. Early in the morning, the 37-year-old actor shocked fans by announcing his semi-retirement from acting via social media. In his heartfelt message, Vikrant wrote, “Hello, the last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and everyone of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a husband, father and a son. And also as an actor. So, coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last two movies and many years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in-between. Forever indebted.” Later that evening, Vikrant reflected on the day, calling it “a day to remember for the rest of my life”, but for reasons far beyond his career decision. At a special screening of his film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ for politicians, Vikrant was overwhelmed by the experience of watching the film alongside the Prime Minister, cabinet ministers, and numerous MPs (Members of Parliament). He expressed his joy to the media, saying, “I watched the film with the Prime Minister, all cabinet ministers and many MPs. It was a special experience. I still can’t fully express it in words because I am so happy… This is the highest point of my career that I got to watch my film with the Prime Minister.” Vikrant has projects like ‘12th Fail’, ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Haseen Dillruba’ among many others to his credit.
