The filmmaker called it the effects of a ‘fatwa’ and had captioned the clip as, “The price one has to pay to show the genocide of Hindus in Kashmir, in a Hindu majority country. Freedom of expression, ha! #ImprisonedInOwnCountry #Fatwa.” Vivek’s post was flooded with tweets & comments who called him out for using taxpayers money. One netizen wrote, “‘Humare tax ke paise se security le rahe hain, apni movie tax free karke’”, while another user wrote, “What a waste of taxpayers’ money!” One Twitter user even accused the filmmaker of show-off and said, “In fact you are enjoying it. Don’t show fake uneasiness.” Post ‘The Kashmir Files’, Vivek Agnihotri is now working on a new film titled ‘The Vaccine War’.
