Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur are planning to make a film based on Sagarika Ghose’s book, Indira – India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister. Buzz is that Vidya will face the camera as the former Prime Minister of India. “I am happy to have acquired the rights to Sagarika Ghose’s ‘Indira’. I haven’t decided yet whether it should be made into a film or a web series, but that will take a while anyway,” confirms Vidya. The book chronicles the tales from the Emergency of 1975 to Indira Gandhi’s failed marriage and her relationship with son Sanjay Gandhi.
