Bollywood’s leading production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2020. YRF head and Yash Chopra’s son Aditya Chopra is planning to announce a film each with the industry’s heavyweights. The studio plans to make back to back films with Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan as well Akshay Kumar among others. The launches are likely to be announced in the coming year. Yash Raj is in talks with Akki to lock in a big budget comedy flick and this could very well be their first announcement. It is expected to go on the floors in mid 2020 since it’s still being scripted. Yash Chopra had founded the company in 1970, marking 2020 YRF’s golden jubilee year.
