Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming release, ‘Zero’, faced threats for protests from the Sikh community for allegedly hurting their religious sentiments by wearing a Gatra Kirpan as an ordinary dagger. Clarifying on the same, the spokesperson of the film shared, “We wish to respectfully clarify that the film does not depict a Kirpan, rather what is commonly known as a Katar. The filmmakers have been careful not to hurt the feelings of any community, including the Sikh community.” Directed by Aanand L Rai, ‘Zero’ also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif alongside Shah Rukh. The film is scheduled to release on December 21.
