‘Pink’ has received a UA certificate from the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC). But the buzz is that, that the film has got four verbal cuts, owing to the abusive language used. The four cuts have been awarded for the extreme language used to address women, which the Censor Board thought was derogatory for females. Words like ‘saali’, ‘phaad de unki’ and bitch have been censored by the Censor Board. In recent times the CBFC has faced flak for cuts awarded to ‘Udta Punjab’. ‘Pink’ is directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and is produced by filmmaker Shoojit Sircar.
