A video recently went viral, wherein a family was asked to leave the cinema hall for not standing up during Nation Anthem. Voicing his opinion on the same, Farhan Akhtar said, “There is a Supreme Court ruling with regards to this. It is up to each individual whether to follow that ruling or not.” The actor added that for him, it is a feeling of great value, “If I hear the National Anthem playing, I will stand up when I hear it. It evokes a certain respect in me and hence I would stand. But the Supreme Court is supreme and its judgement is there for anyone to follow, or even challenge, if they want to.”
