Kangana Ranaut was signed up to play the impactful role of Rani Laxmibai by filmmaker Ketan Mehta. Latest buzz suggests that the big budget period film has got no studio to back the project and has already gone overboard with financials. Kangana was to start shooting for the film by the end of this year, but the biopic may not go on floors anytime soon. For now, Kangana is busy shooting for ‘Simran’ with Hansal Mehta in the US. Her movie with Vishal Bhardwaj, ‘Rangoon’, which also stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, will hit the screens in February next year.
