After being successful with real life drama films like ‘Special 26’ and ‘Rustom’, Akshay Kumar is now gearing up for a biopic. Akki will step into the role of ace hockey player Balbir Singh in a film titled ‘Gold’. The film will trace the life and career graph of Balbir Singh, who was a part of the Indian Hockey Team when they won Gold at the Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956. The film will be set in 1948 and feature the historic story of India’s first Olympic medal as a free nation. ‘Gold’ will hit the screens on 15th August 2018.
