Arjun Rampal will be playing the lead character in a biopic based on underworld don turned social worker Arun Gawli. The actor had recently visited JJ hospital to meet him and faced the ire of the Mumbai police. Clearing the air Arjun said, “I am doing a biopic on Arun Gawli and I had gone to JJ Hospital with my producer. There was a bit of greed as an actor and hence I thought I should at least go and say a hello. It was my mistake, I should not have gone. According to law there is nothing wrong. But I would have hurt people who are taking care of him. They may have some trouble. The police also told me what all permissions would be needed.” The film is titled ‘Daddy’, the nickname by which Gawli is known.
