Kabir Khan was keen to rope in Ranveer Singh for his film on Indian World Cup victory of 1983. While the latter is yet to give a confirmation, Kabir has already decided to cast Ranveer in the captain’s role, that of Kapil Dev. Salman Khan starrer ‘Tubelight’ had kept Kabir Khan busy, but the filmmaker is now concentrating on the cast for his cricket project which will be backed by Phantom Films. For now, Ranveer is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ and will also star in Zoya Akhtar’s musical ‘Gully Boys’.
