Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ faces a ban on its release in four states across the country – Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Reports suggest that the makers of ‘Padmaavat’ have approached the Supreme Court to intervene in the controversy. Shahid Kapor, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh-starrer’s no show in these four states will dampen the film’s box office performance. While the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared ‘Padmaavat’ with a U/A certificate after modifications, the period film still faces a lot of opposition. ‘Padmaavat’ is already facing a clash at the box office with ‘PadMan’.
