Imtiaz Ali has joined hands with Ekta Kapoor’s production house Balaji Motion Pictures to present a classic love story, ‘Laila Majnu’, but with a contemporary twist. The film will mark the directorial debut of Imtiaz’s brother Sajid Ali. ‘Laila Majnu’ has been shot in picturesque locales of Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Srinagar and features newcomers Avinash Tiwary and Deepthi. Since it’s almost ready, the film will hit the screens on May 4. While Imtiaz is busy promoting his brother’s debut, the filmmaker is working on a loves story of his own, which will feature Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
