Shahid Kapoor started shooting for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ with much enthusiasm and wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Uttarakhand earlier this year. The flick’s second schedule was to begin last month but it never saw the light of the day. Produced by Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor’s KriArj Entertainment, the film was rumoured to be in financial trouble, just like some other projects of KriArj, namely ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’. While director Shree Narayan Singh was unable to kick start the next schedule, his cast has moved on to other projects.
