Film producer Vashu Bhagnani had filed a petition in the Supreme Court to stay the release of ‘Fanney Khan’, starring Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the SC has rejected the filmmaker’s appeal. Hence the musical will now release as scheduled this Friday, August 3. Bhagnani had filed a petition that his company Pooja Entertainment had purchased all India distribution rights of the film from previous producers KriArj Entertainment and reportedly paid a sum of Rs 8.5 crore. While a final verdict on the case is yet to be announced, ‘Fanney Khan’ has managed to slip out of the legal battle and release in theatres.
