Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Bharat’ opened to mixed review from critics, but the actor’s massive fan mania has assured that he gets a huge hit at the box office. The film collected a whopping Rs 42.30 crore on its first day, as it opened on 4,700 screens across the country. ‘Bharat’ has emerged as the biggest crowd puller for 2019 and this massive opening has catapulted the film to the first-Day 1 opening figures of this year. ‘Bharat’ has crossed the first day collection of ‘Kalank’, which till date occupied the first spot with Rs 21.06 crore. Both the films were holiday releases, while ‘Bharat’ got the Eid advantage, ‘Kalank’ banked on Mahavir Jayanti and Good Friday in April this year.
