Amitabh Bachchan has been a promoter of eradicating polio since a long time and he, with the help of municipal corporation, expressed that the country is now successfully polio free, “We have just made the country polio free. It was done in difficult situations and took eight years. There was a lot of opposition but now I feel happy to hear that India today is polio free. And we have to continue that.” The actor has now joined yet another campaign which is for the eradication of TB. “We hope that India is free of TB. I can only assure that the kind of passion that I have for films, with the same amount of dedication I will be a part of this campaign. I feel that the country has already won and TB is definitely going to lose.”
