Last week’s release ‘Article 15’ is making all the right noises at the box office. The Ayushamnn Khurrana-starrer and Anubhav Sinha-directed ‘Article 15’ has fetched Rs 34 crore at the ticket windows in a week’s time. The film opened to Rs 4,75,00,000 approximately and by the first weekend, had managed to garner Rs 19,75,00,000. Being the season of cricket World Cup, and owing to the ban on the film in some cities, the collection could not be as expected. Some territories like Gujarat, Bihar, CP Berar also didn’t add to the bank balance of the makers. Circuits like Mumbai and Delhi are doing well for ‘Article 15’. If not for these unfavorable circumstances, ‘Article 15’ would have easily managed Rs 50 crore at the box office in about a week’s time.
