Shyam Ramsay of the famous Ramsay clan passed away at the age of 67. The filmmaker was reportedly suffering from pneumonia since the past few days. Due to the fever, he breathed his last today morning. Shyam was known for directing horror films under the Ramsay banner. Shyam Ramsay and his brothers churned out films like ‘Andhera’, ‘Purana Mandir’ and ‘Koi Hai’ among others. The Ramsay brothers are also known for producing TV content in the horror genre. Back in the ‘70s, the Ramsay brothers established the horror genre with their low budget and cult movies. There was no looking back for them after that. With Shyam Ramsay leaving for heavenly abode, many feel that an era of past horror flicks has ended.
