Sudhir Mishra woke up to bad news this morning as the filmmaker lost his father Dr Devendra Nath Mishra. The ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ director broke the news to the world on Twitter. “My dad Dr Devendra Nath Mishra passed away this morning. A Lucknow boy, he was many things. A Mathematician, went on to become a professor of mathematics at Sagar University, Jt Education Advisor, Ministry of Education, Dept Director CSIR, Head of MP Science & Technology and Vice-chancellor BHU (Banaras Hindu University),” said Mishra. As condolences poured in from every nook and corner of the world, Sudhir further said, “More than anything, he was my teacher and friend. I’ll miss him,” in a reply to a tweet. Filmmakers like Nikkhil Advani and Anubhav Sinha sent their condolences to the Mishra family.
