2020 was challenging for everyone and Bollywood is no exception. But the New Year looks promising for the film industry. While there are films like ‘Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi’ starring Naseeruddin Shah and Vikrant Massey, and ‘Tribhanga’ featuring Kajol releasing on OTT platforms, Deepika Padukone’s yet untitled Dharma Productions’ flick is also scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2021. Fans can look forward to ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ in the months that follow. Starring Akshay Kumar-Vaani Kapoor, John Abraham-Divya Khosla Kumar and Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde respectively, these big ticket projects made a lot of noise during their launch. To end the year on an equally promising note will be Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and the Karan Johar-directed ‘Takht’ that will be rolling out to cinema lovers. With such a line-up of films, 2021 is expected to be better than its predecessor. Keeping fingers crossed!
