The Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Tejas’ was recently in news as a certain section of the press said the film is a sequel to ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. However, It’s now confirmed that the news is nothing more than rumours. ‘Tejas’ is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, who also produced ‘Uri’. Since both are similar-looking war films, people assumed that ‘Tejas’ could be the sequel to ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. But the producer has categorically denied the same. While ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ was a film based on real life war film, ‘Tejas’ is a work of fiction. Kangana plays the role of an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot and it is directed by Sarvesh Mewara. Team ‘Tejas’ is planning to begin shooting from July.
