Rishi Kapoor passed away precisely a year ago on April 30, 2020. Since the country was under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, only a handful of people could gather for his last rites. In the past one year his wife, Neetu Kapoor missed her husband every minute, “All of last year has been of grief and sadness around the world for us, maybe more as we lost him (Rishi). Not a day has gone by when we have not discussed or reminisced him. He was an extension of our existence… his wise advice, his wise cracks, his anecdotes! We have celebrated him all year with a smile. As he stays in our hearts forever, we accept that life will never be the same without him! But it will go on.” Rishi suffered from cancer and after taking treatment from the US, the actor had returned to India before losing his battle with the dreaded disease.
