Aishwarya Rai Bachchan could be in trouble for alleged non-payment of taxes after purchasing a property in Nashik, Maharashtra. Though the amount claimed by the authorities is a meagre Rs 21,960, it is said that the government agencies have sent repeated demand notices and Ash has neither replied to any of them or has she paid. Keeping the same in mind, the tehsildar of Sinnar finally sent her a legal notice. Reports say that the actress has not paid the land tax for one assessment year on this one hectare non-agriculture piece of land which is in the Adwadi village in Sinnar taluka. She has been given 10 days to pay the tax and as per reports, her legal advisor is expediting the process of dues payment.
