Some producers and their production houses seem to have come under the scanner of the Income Tax department in India. The lens is on producers Jayantilal Gada and Vinod Bhanushali’s respective residences as well as on offices. Gada is the owner of Pen India Ltd while Bhanushali has launched his own production house recently after quitting T-Series a while back. Reports say that the searches began yesterday early morning and went on till late evening on the charges of suspected tax evasion. Gada has been the presenter for the film ‘RRR’, whose song ‘Naatu Naatu’ recently won an Oscar Award. In the capacity of producer or presenter, he has been associated with many films like ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Shivaay’ among many others. Bhanushali on the other hand, has ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ and another film on India’s former and late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the works.
