Rumors in Bollywood had it that an imminent collaboration between Bollywood stalwarts Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan and Ekta Kapoor was on the cards. It is now coming to light that director Priyadarshan is in fact, finally reuniting with Akshay after a hiatus of 14 long years. Their last outing was ‘Khatta Meetha’ released back in 2010. Past collaborations include blockbuster hits like ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Bhagam Bhag’ and ‘Garam Masala’ which have left an indelible mark on audiences. This upcoming project produced by Ekta Kapoor promises to blend elements of horror, fantasy and humor into a captivating narrative. This time, the duo will dive into the realm of fantasy, talking about some age-old Indian superstitions. Priyadarshan who is fresh off wrapping his documentary series on the history of the Ram Mandir, is enthusiastic about this new venture with Akshay.
