Rajkummar Rao seems to be basking in the glory of both of his recently released films, ‘Srikanth’ and ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’. While the former released on 10 May, the latter hit the theatres at the end of last month, on May 31. But ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ seems to be faring a little better than ‘Srikanth’. Based on the theme of cricket, ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ garnered Rs 6.85 crore at the domestic box office on the opening day, with the first weekend collection reaching at Rs 17.12 crore. In the five days of its release so far, the film has minted a little over Rs 21 crore. Compare this to ‘Srikanth’, and the flick had managed about Rs 15 crore in the similar period and in the same market. ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is expected to reach around Rs 25 crore by the end of first week, again, bettering the record of ‘Srikanth’.
