Abhishek Bachchan made headlines recently with his acquisition of six apartments totaling Rs 15.42 crore at the Oberoi Sky City which is a prestigious development in Mumbai’s Borivali area. According to media reports, the Bollywood star secured a combined RERA carpet area of 4,894 sq ft, paying approximately Rs 31,498 per sq ft. What distinguishes this purchase is the diverse sizes of the apartments: two units are 252 sq ft each, two span around 1,100 sq ft (carpet), and the remaining two are 1,094 sq ft each as per the disclosed documents. Notably, all six apartments were individually transacted. This isn’t Bachchan’s first investment with the group as he has previously engaged with their projects. In August 2021, he also sold an apartment in Mumbai’s Oberoi 360 West for Rs 45.75 crore originally purchased in 2014 for over Rs 41 crore.
