Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the epic ‘Ramayana’ is shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited films in production today. This grand project has assembled a star-studded cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The film, originally planned as a trilogy will be presented in two parts. While filming for the first segment is complete with only some final touches and VFX work remaining, the elaborate sets created for the movie are now being dismantled. Production for the second part is on the horizon and the initial film will focus on the early years of Ram and Sita, their marriage and their subsequent 14-year exile. Interestingly, a noteworthy inclusion is Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Ram in the iconic TV series who will now appear as King Dashrath.
